**There are two special pre- and post-conference events that require registration and are free to all attendees. You can sign up for these sessions during the registration process:

Brave Dialogues with Sarah Heath

Tuesday, February 7 from 9:00 - 5:00pm (lunch is provided)

Please join the Colorado CTE team and our national Advance CTE partners, to lean into a full day pre-session on how to lead Brave Dialogues about ways we can expand equity within our CTE programs.  The purpose of Brave Dialogues is to provide Career Technical Education (CTE) leaders with tools to engage in discussion around racial equity in CTE and to support CTE leaders in creating an environment in which all stakeholders have the language and comfort to discuss challenges and opportunities related to racial equity in CTE. This work goes hand in hand with the work we will be doing in Colorado this year to dig deep into our CTE data locally and as a state to identify, analyze, and develop action plans in areas where there are gaps in access and how we serve learners. This session will give you opportunities to learn and practice with colleagues in a safe space and resources to take home.

Opportunity Gap Analysis Pilot

Friday, February 10 from 10:00 - 12:00pm

If your district, consortium, or college is participating in the Opportunity Gap Analysis pilot, please join us for this session where the CTE team will provide your entity’s individual data dashboard with the heat map to begin your in-depth review of CTE enrollment and performance data by program area. Spend this session with your team walking through your data set, making initial observations, asking questions for understanding, and coming up with your plan for next steps with the support of the CTE accountability team.  It is recommended that you attend this session with your team who will be involved in the opportunity gap analysis work, if possible.  **For more information on this session, contact Victoria Crownover.
